Chronically Healing Podcast

Nov 25, 2020

Today’s episode is with Amy Slater, a coach and cheerleader for mama’s looking to regain their health after baby.

I absolutely loved getting to interview Amy and even though I’m not a mom (yet), her story and mission are inspiring. After 15 years of infertility, ADD and gut issues, Amy was able to have a set of twins (her first set - she had two!) but wasn’t fully prepared for what came next. The identity crisis that happens for so many moms after having a baby can be overwhelming and she felt like she went from a fitness role model to “just a mom.”

I’ll let you tune in more to hear her full story and how this led her to helping women now regain their confidence and control when they can’t quite put their finger on how they’re feeling after baby.

In today’s episode we chat about:

  • Amy’s story with ADD, gut issues and hypothalamic ammenorhea

  • The identity crisis a lot of women go through after having kids

  • Societal pressures of “getting your body back” after baby

  • How Amy helps mom’s regain confidence when they can’t figure out what’s wrong, but they feel like everything is amiss

  • The importance of finding someone who can help you on your health journey
